Alaska Insulation Supply
Found on Day One, Closed by December

The Business
Alaska Insulation Supply runs three businesses in one from Anchorage: industrial insulation distribution, project installation, and a fabrication shop that ships insulating sleeves to job sites from Juneau to the North Slope. Its distribution rights on North Slope specifications give it a moat exactly where Alaska's industrial economy needs it, with a project pipeline growing faster than its size suggested.
The sellers ran a disciplined process with a board making the calls, and what the deal needed was a buyer who understood Alaska rather than one who needed it explained. It found one in-state.
Transaction Timeline
How the Deal Happened
Kevin Payne signed up for Rejigg after a friend mentioned an unrelated Alaska deal on the platform, and found AIS himself the same day. The path from there had real turbulence: a first LOI in August 2025 fell apart entirely in October, then the deal revived weeks later with a reworked structure that solved a seller-side tax issue, and a second LOI carried it to a December 2025 close.
Deal Highlights

An Anchorage PE firm acquired an Anchorage industrial company.

The Buyer
AIS was acquired by PT Capital, an Anchorage-based private equity firm adding the company to its in-state industrial holdings. An Alaska buyer for an Alaska business: the firm knew the market, the logistics, and the customers, and stayed at the table through a collapse that would have ended most deals.
